The big day had finally arrived. After all the antics from Cooper in the months leading up to Christmas about not getting a real kids tractor from Santa, Cooper seemed happy on Christmas day with his new bow and arrow set from Santa.
Hudson got his own toys and things (he got a lovey from Santa so that now he has a spare), but he was happier to play with whatever was on the floor and looked interesting.

After opening presents (We are SPOILED--thank you Mom and Dad!!), we headed to the kitchen for the traditional Christensen Christmas morning breakfast, mainly prepared by my big brother, Jayson. He always makes an amazing breakfast of pancakes, french toast, bacon, sausage, eggs, and all sorts of deliciousness that fills our bellies for nearly the rest of the day.

Then my grandparents came by for a visit, and I couldn't help but snap a photo of Hudson with his Great Grandpa and Grandma Christensen, Papa, and Grammie. Priceless.
Despite many of us being sick, Chelsey and Stettsen made a quick appearance on Christmas day with sweet new baby girl, Terra.

Later that night we had a big Christmas dinner (which I pretty much missed completely because Hudson was tired, cranky, and sick).
Jayson was apparently feeling pretty full after dinner.
Is there anything better than family and good food for the holidays?
Lastly Alex and Aspen honored us with a few Christmas carols. Aspen sang and Alex accompanied her on his new guitar. These two kids are pretty talented. Aspen sounds somewhat like Taylor Swift--such a clear, sweet voice. Alex is crazy talented on the guitar, and can play just about anything. It was the perfect way to end the day (this may have been the next day--I forget--but it was one of the highlights of the trip to me). I felt the Spirit of the Lord while they performed for us, and it was one of those moments with my family that I believe will be seared on my memory forever. Just awesome.
