Nate's birthday was the day after Easter, so we celebrated with Jim and Denise on Easter Sunday with a little cake and ice cream. We did have a small celebration (nice dinner, presents, etc.) on his actual birthday, just us and the kids, but it was fun to get to celebrate the beginning of his last year of his thirties. He's excited to be 39, as you can tell.
He was blowing out the candles, but it looks like he was about to spit on the cake!
It wasn't a big party. Next year we might have to celebrate that milestone with a bit bigger party...we'll see.
