July 24th is Pioneer Day, a state holiday, in Utah. It's the day that commemorates the day the Mormon Pioneer Settlers arrived in the Salt Lake Valley and decided to stay put after their cross-country trek to escape persecution and physical harm.
So every year we do something fun. This year most of our family had to work during the day, but Grammie and Papa didn't, and we went to the movies!
That night we had a big family bar-b-que complete with great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and second cousins. I was too busy visiting with family I seldom see, and enjoying myself, to remember to take many pictures. Here is one of Hudson enjoying the food.
Cooper and Hudson enjoyed playing with their cousin, Tyler, and my cousin, Michael.
Summer isn't complete without a little volleyball in Papa's backyard!
Cooper was in 7th heaven to play with his cousin, Tyler.
Lots of family, and lots of fun!
